Description:

Recognizing and Responding to Financially Distressed Properties (Foreclosures)

It is no secret that the housing market has been in decline for the last several months. What remains a secret, to many of us, is how the lenders found themselves in this position and what they can do to help protect our neighborhoods. This course will provide the student with history, background and knowledge of the lending industry and information on how to work within the "Lenders World" to motivate compliance.

Learn the telltale signs of financial distress prior to abandonment. Learn what pro-active steps you can take to get the lenders involved in the process earlier. Find out the long-term impact the housing "crash" may have on your community and ways to slow its impact. Come away with answers and information you can use to help guide and direct your administrators and elected officials into a pro-active posture regarding distressed properties.
